BITTERGOURD PITLA

Ingredients:

Bitter gourd
Channa
Tamarind
Salt
Toor dhal - 2 spn
Channa dhal - 3 spn
Dhania - 2 spns
Coconut - 2 spns
Red chillies - about 5

Heat oil in a kadai. Fry toor dhal, channa dhal, dhania, red chillies and switch off the stove. Then add coconut and fry a little. Let everything cool.
Make it into a very fine paste in the mixie
Soak channa overnite and keep aside
Cook bitter gourd and channa
Then heat oil. Do tadka (mustard and urad dhal)
Pour in tamarind juice. Add salt
Boil well till raw smell goes. Then add veggies
Boil everything together. Add cooked toor dhal by mashing it well
Let everything boil well for about 10mins
Same can be done with brinjal and white pumpkin
