USIRI PACHADI

Ingredients:

Gooseberry big about 10
Curd about half cup
Green chillies - 4 to 5
Cilantro
Salt

Remove the seeds from gooseberry and pressure cook them with a little salt
Beat curds, add little salt and keep
Make a thick paste of the cooked gooseberry, cilantro and green chillies add it to the curds and boil on low flame for about 5 mins. Don't boil the mixture on very high flame as it will break
Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard, urad dhal, curry leaves and asafoetida and mix with the pachadi

For people who like the taste of raw gooseberry can even it without boiling the curd mixture
