Ingredients:
Tomato
Tamarind juice
Rasam powder
In a vessel extract the excess water from the cooked dhal, add chopped tomatoes, tamarind juice, turmeric, salt and rasam powder
Bring everything to a boil
In a separate kadai, heat oil and do tadka (jeera and asafoetida) and add it to the boiling mixture
Garnish with curry leaves and cilantro and serve with rice
