Ingredients:
Toor dhal - 1/2 cup
Tomatoes - 4 to 5
Pressure cook dhal for 3 whistles and keep
Heat oil in a kadai. Add jeera, mustard, red chillies, green chillies and chopped onions. Fry till onions turn golden brown
Add tomatoes and let it cook till tender and then add the cooked dhal by mashing it very well
Add salt, tumeric, chilli powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and cilantro and let everything boil for a while and serve with rice
The same can be done using mango or dosakai instead of tomato
